2010 Mission Trip Overview

Our group will join some other volunteers in Brazil to work with CMU ministry and build a church. This will be our sixth church to build with CMU.

When we arrive, there is usually a concrete foundation and supports for a roof. During the week, we will brick all of the walls and put on a roof. In our spare time, we will go out into the community and invite families to attend the church dedication on our last night. This is also a time we can minister, pray, and fellowship with the Brazilians.

In past years, the dedication service has always been such an awesome time. The church is usually overflowing with many having to stand outside. During that time, the Word of God will be preached and some will make decisions that have eternal consequences. It has been such a privilege to be a part of what God is doing in Brazil and to help CMU with their mission.....

"to build churches to the glory of God where the gospel will be preached, lives will be changed, and people will be saved until Jesus comes."

Good evening  (Boa Noite),

Janderson (Brants closest friend; Pastor of a church near Manaus; CMU Translator) wanted to post a message on our blog....to you. Here is his message...

There is not a words for me to tell you how much I appreciate the love you put in all the prayer, donation, and money.  Tomorrow we going to see almost 400 kids laughing, singing, joking around with all the toys, all the supplies, all the donations you give here.  By the time Brant, Samantha, and Helena get on the bus, you going to see all the toys and supplies in the hands of these kids....but their faces are not going to be the same because everytime they see what they got, they going to remember that day when the Americans poured out the love.  Maybe this can change the life forever.  Maybe your love and prayer and donation going to change them for Christ.

The seeds is here...its now planted here....these kids.  So I hope you pray for all these kids.  We dont have all the names but we have the name of the city....Codo.  Keep in prayer for this little community.  We love all with our heart. Keep in prayer for this church because the church is the most important gift to the kids and their families.

In His service,
Janderson
